Please be aware that it can take a long time for an application to be processed.  Depending on which council is dealing with the application it can take 8 to 16 weeks for an application to be answered.   

Not all trees and hedges are preserved, but those that are and all trees and hedges within a conservation area need approval from the local council for any work carried out on them.  Failure to do so can result in a fine of up to £25000 and a court appearance.  This fine can be placed upon the owner of the tree or hedge as well as the person carrying out any work. If in doubt always check with your council before carring out any work.  We will be happy to assist with this.
